savings Savings

Regular savings contributions managed by the association. Your admin sets the target amount and cycle.

How Savings Work

Your association may require regular savings contributions (e.g., monthly). The key concepts are:

  • arrow_right Target Amount — The amount you should save each cycle (e.g., UGX 100,000/month)
  • arrow_right Cycle — How often savings are expected (monthly, weekly, etc.)
  • arrow_right Grace Period — Days after the cycle deadline before penalties apply
  • arrow_right Penalties — If enabled, a fee is charged for not meeting the target by the deadline

Your Savings Dashboard

Go to Savings to see:

  • Balance cards — Total balance, total deposited, penalties, and streak
  • Current cycle progress — A progress bar showing how much you've saved vs. the target
  • Transaction history — All deposits, penalties, and adjustments
  • Penalty history — Any penalties applied and whether they were waived

Savings Statement

The Statement tab provides a formal account statement with:

  • Date range filter — View transactions for any period
  • Opening & closing balance — Calculated for the selected period
  • Debit/Credit columns — Standard accounting format with reference numbers
  • Print support — Click "Print" to generate a printable statement

Requesting a Withdrawal

If your association allows withdrawals, you'll see a Withdraw tab:

  1. 1 Check your available balance and the required notice period
  2. 2 Enter the amount and a reason for the withdrawal
  3. 3 Submit the request — it goes to admin for approval
  4. 4 Track your withdrawal status in the personal history below the form

Note: If you don't see the Withdraw tab, your association has not enabled withdrawals.

Tip: Try to meet your savings target before the cycle deadline to avoid penalties and maintain your savings streak!
